Food for the Day

Today has been a crazy day already. This morning after I got out of the shower, I realized that I wasn't wearing my favorite necklace (that I basically never take off). I remembered that I took it off during our HIIT workout at the gym last night. -- Oh my gosh. I left it on the floor of the gym!

I frantically called the gym, and asked them to look for it. They didn't find it. I started prepping my food for the day and complaining about how sad I was to have lost that necklace. My mom gave it to me...

We realized that we didn't have food to bring to work today, so we started cooking some food. As I was finishing up the sweet potatoes, I see Matt walking behind me with his rain jacket on. 

Where are you going?

To the gym. 

Matt went to the gym and found my necklace!! Phew!

We have small group tonight, and I have to go straight from work, so I packed really heavy today. I brought my laptop (to write this post during lunch) and a whole day's worth of food. I thought today would be a good day to share what a normal day of food looks like for me right now, as I'm trying to lean out. 

For whatever weirdo reason, my current goal is to be able to take a picture of myself on Christmas wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and showing off lean, six-pack abs. 

Here's what I'm eating today:

Breakfast

  • 2 egg whites + 2 eggs, scrambled
  • 1 piece of rye toast with Earth Balance butter and fruit preserves
  • 1/2 cup fruit

10:00am Snack

  • 6oz greek yogurt + 1 scoop whey protein

Lunch

  • 1/2 cup roasted broccoli
  • 3/8 cup baked sweet potatoes
  • 3.7oz grilled chicken breast

3:00pm Snack

  • 1 honeycrisp apple

Dinner

  • Grilled chicken salad
    • 1 cup arugula
    • 2 tbsp lime juice
    • .9 tbsp olive oil
    • 3oz grilled chicken

Post Small Group Protein

  • 1 scoop of protein (in water)
