My current skincare faves

1. Grapeseed Oil

I use grapeseed oil as a makeup remover. I actually heard about this trick while reading one of my favorite lifestyle blogs, The Skinny Confidential. I had been using a chemical-based liquid makeup remover, but when I saw the option of a non-chemical makeup remover, I had to try it! To my surprise, it worked better and felt better than the other product I had been using. I just dab a little bit onto a cotton pad and sweep it over my eyes -- natural, chemical-free magic.

2. Tarte Maracuja Oil

I use this oil as part of my nighttime routine-- before my moisturizer and after my eye cream. I just put a couple drops onto my fingertip and spread it out across my whole face. This stuff feels so clean and hydrating. It helps to restore my dry skin.

3. Boots Botanics Age Defense Protecting Cream SPF 15

This is my daytime moisturizer. I had been looking for a moisturizer with SPF because, you know, none of us want to get wrinkles and sun damage as we get older. I really like this one because it is thin and doesn't feel cakey underneath my makeup. Also, it doesn't smell terrible.

4. Boots Botanics Triple Age Renewal Night Cream

A good friend of mine gave me this cream as a birthday gift last year. Yeah, I guess when you think about it, it's kind of weird for someone to buy you an "age renewal" night cream as a birthday gift when you're in your 20s, but I was totally pumped about it! I'm in my early 20s, but I can already see wrinkles coming in -- Way to go, high school Bridget. You never washed your makeup off. Like a cholo. -- so now, I'm trying to repair some of that careless damage.

5. Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment & 6. Boots Triple Age Renewal Eye Serum

None of us want to get older, but we have to face the facts -- it's happening. If you're out of college, you should probably consider using eye cream. It basically just keeps your under-eye area young and perky. And helps to refresh those bags under your eyes from working long hours at your day job. I've been trying to decide between these two products. I'm a brand loyalist for both Tarte and Boots Botanics, but I have to say that I like the Tarte eye cream better. I like the creamy texture better than the liquidy texture. Anyways, I apply eye cream both at night and in the morning. I put a tiny drop onto my ring finger and then spread it to my other ring finger and dab it softly underneath lower lids.

7. Tarte Maracuja Lip Exfoliant

lip scrub

This was my first Tarte product, and it got me hooked. I love it. I just just a tiny bit on the tip of my finger and then gently scrub across my lips. It makes my lips feel so soft and gets rid of any dead skin. I exfoliate my lips about once a week in the summer, and then closer to daily in the winter, as my lips become more dry. Did I mention that it tastes like minty sugar? Cuz it does.

8. Alba Botanica Hawaiian Face Mask - Pore-fecting Papaya Enzyme

This is my first face mask purchase. I only use it once a week, so it has lasted me a pretty long time. I just apply a thin layer (it comes out clear), wait 5 minutes, and then wash it off. It does make my skin feel softer, but I'm not 100% sold that it is doing anything with my pores. I'm open to face mask suggestions.

9. Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel

This has been my go-to spot acne treatment since middle school (other than the standard just-put-toothpaste-on-it method). I don't breakout often, but every once in a while I will get a pimple here or there. This product has always worked for me, so I haven't tried to switch to anything else. I still have the old packaging because it has lasted me a long time.

10. Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser

This is my nighttime cleanser. I like the foamy texture; i like how well it gets the grime off my face; I like that it clears blemishes and doesn't leave any residue.

11. Yes to Carrots Daily Cream Facial Cleanser

This is my morning cleanser. It's really hydrating, and it makes me feel like I'm doing a good job to prepare my skin for the day ahead. It does kind of smell like carrots, but the scent goes away quickly. The creamy nourishment is worth the carrot smell.

Bonus: Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss

This is my all-time favorite lip balm. It is so affordable, so hydrating, and so yummy.
