Matt and I had some friends over for dinner the other day as a sort of "come see our new digs" kinda thing. We asked people to bring some food so that we could have a potluck dinner together. Surprisingly, one friend brought a juicer that they no longer wanted. They were looking for a new home for the juicer (since space is at a premium in NYC apartments), and we gladly took it off their hands.
I've done some experimentation with juicing. My first juice was very thrown together -- grapefruit, spinach, and pear. I basically just put whatever we had in the fridge into the juicer. Not super tasty, to be honest. Too tart.
This recipe is so so much yummier! You really can't even taste the spinach. It tastes like a virgin strawberry daiquiri to me.
I am very interested in juicing because it provides the body with easy to access nutrients for better skin. When juicing, do be mindful that the sugar content is concentrated (without the normal fruit fiber), so just don't get crazy with your portions. No big deal.
