Apple Fritters

Yes, these are a crowd pleaser. The taste is somewhere between apple pie, funnel cake, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.Sounds amazing, right?

They are kind of a pain to make, but the taste is worth the time (and calories).

** Warning: Do not eat if you are on a diet. It is almost impossible to only have one. **

Ingredients for fritters:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup vanilla almond (or soy) milk
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon applesauce
  • 1 cup chopped apple (diced into tiny pieces)
  • vegetable oil

Ingredients for glaze:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 T vanilla almond (or soy) milk


  1. Combine flour, sugar, slat, baking powder, and cinnamon in mixing bowl
  2. Stir in milk and applesauce
  3. Fold in apple
  4. Pour oil in sauce pan (1/2 full)
  5. Heat oil on high
  6. Add dough in heaping tablespoons (if oil is hot enough, they will float)
  7. Cook until brown, flip
  8. Transfer to paper towel cooling rack
  9. Drizzle glaze over top
