Baby McGahen: 22 Weeks


How far along: 22 weeks + 1 day

How big is baby: the size of an coconut (10.9 inches, 15.1 oz) <-- almost a pound!!

Coolest developments: Multiple times, I've had friends spot me at church and say, "Hey, I like your belly." or simply "Baby bump!!"

Best moments this week: Being able to survive a 2hr bike ride! It was at a casual pace, but it felt really good to be able to do that.

How I've felt in my workouts: Good, though it's been tough to stick to them with vacation/visitors. Getting back on track this week with Jillian Michael's pregnancy workout program

Symptoms: Stomach cramps and lower back pain that radiates down my leg. These both got worse this week.

Cravings: Turkey sandwich from Subway (did not indulge)

Aversions: Nothing this week

Favorite meals this week: Momos at Sherpa Restaurant

Things we bought for baby: My mother-in-law sent us the car seat we registered for already + my friend who was visiting this week bought baby a little PNW onesie + a hoodie that says Brooklyn.

Bump: Some days it makes me feel excited, some days it makes me feel really insecure. More about my pregnancy insecurities here

What we're up to: Shifting back into a regular routine after vacation and then having a visitor this past week.

Prayer Requests: Reduced lower back pain
