Blanched Green Beans with Almonds


Y'all, this is my new favorite way to eat green beans! It's so healthy and so easy. Do yourself a favor and give this a try!


  • 2 cups fresh green beans
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Bring pot of water to a boil
  2. Braise green beans by dropping them into boiling water for 5-8 min
  3. Drain green beans
  4. Top with oil, almonds, salt, and pepper
