You don't have to wait for New Year's resolutions to set goals.
I met with my coach last night (Neely Spence Gracey -- she has openings on her team roster if you're interested in working with her too) to talk about post-NYC goals. We spent some time cheering for how much improvement we saw in my training over the last 6 months, which was super happy, and about what I'm capable of doing next. Honestly, after my performance at NYC, I'm feeling like R. Kelly right now -- If I just believe it, there's nothing to it.
But I guess it's probably irrational to think I can pull out a 1:10 half marathon by spring.
So real talk, here are my goals for this next training season:
- A sub-1:40 Half Marathon in March (at the Woodlands Half Marathon)
- A PR 10K or 5K in January
- Better nutrition and hydration practices
- More strength training
